Duties and Responsibilties: • Equipment mechanic that works remote seldom in a shop Construction Job, Rail Terminal, Facility without a shop building.
• Operate and inspects machines or equipment to diagnose defects.
• Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists and hand tools.
• Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
• Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements
• Adjust parts of devices and control instruments.
• Repair or replaces defective parts.
• Installs special and structural parts in devices.
• Lubricates and parts.
• Start devices to test their performance.
• Weld broken parts and structural members.
Shift differential may apply.
