What you get to do:
• Provides premier customer service, including greeting customers and answering their questions.
• Ices, decorates, packages, labels, and prices products for refrigerator and dry cases.
• Sells products by providing customers with information needed to make product-related decisions.
• Operates the mixer, fudge kettle and dipping wells.
• Maintain high standards for product freshness and sanitation.
• Ensures that the display refrigerators and cases are cleaned, polished, and fully stocked with cakes, pastries, desserts.
• Organizes and rotates stock in the refer, freezer and dry goods areas.
• Trains other ambassadors as needed.
• Assists with the delivery and setup of cakes, desserts and hand dipped specialty items as needed.
• Assists in other duties as assigned.
Work conditions:
Cake Decorators perform their duties primarily in Sultans Bakery. They may be exposed to various temperature changes and work environments. Work involves walking, standing, bending, and lifting and carrying products weighing up to 60 pounds. Duties also include repetitive arm and hand movements as well as hand-squeezing for at least 85% of the work day.
What it takes to succeed:
• At least 18 years of age.
• Experience as a Decorator Apprentice or equivalent experience preferred.
• Knowledge of decorating, icing and home mades.
• Detail-oriented
• Ability to deliver friendly, courteous, prompt customer service.
• Ability to read, write and perform simple math problems.
• Ability to interpret and follow instructions and solve problems.
