Harley-Davidson of Tampa, FL needs to hire a Service Advisor to provide prompt, dependable, high quality, consulting for Harley-Davidson vehicle service guests by using current pro-active feature/benefit processes and active delivery presentation for new and used vehicles. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Service Advisor
Service Consulting for New & Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales:
• Enhance the value of the new and pre-owned vehicle sales process through personalized Service, Maintenance, and P&A consulting.
• Follow the steps of the “C.U.S.T.O.M.” Sales Process effectively to ensure satisfied Guests and increased sales.
• Present the features and benefits of all service, parts and accessories that may meet Guests needs.
• Show each customer advantages of H-D products over competing brands.
• Follow procedures to ensure timely and proper completion of all paperwork.
• Coordinate ordering, delivery and installation of desired parts and accessories between the Parts, Service and Sales Department to meet the customer’s expectations.
• Support and encourage use of the Parts Department for purchase of consumable parts and accessories that are not to be installed at the dealership.
• Build and maintain relationships with current Guests, working with them to maintain and customize their bikes as an ongoing, never-ending process.
• Identify key P&A opportunities with current Guests, including scheduled maintenance and special events.
• Present the features and benefits of all services, parts and accessories that may meet Guests needs.
• Show each Guest advantages of H-D products over competing brands.
• Follow procedures to ensure timely and proper completion of all paperwork.
• Coordinate ordering, delivery and installation of desired parts and accessories between the Parts, Service and Sales Department to meet the customer’s expectations.
• Support and encourage use of the Parts Department for purchase of consumable parts and accessories that are not to be installed at the dealership.
Parts and Accessories and Installation Sales:
• Maintain the computerized inventory control system along with net profit objectives which eliminate the possibility of “lower than anticipated” profits.
• Support cross-selling General Merchandise, HOG memberships, F&I products, extended warranty & service contracts etc. with all new and pre-owned vehicles.
• Work effectively with other departments to ensure smooth customer flow through the dealership.
• Support and encourage use of the Parts Department for purchase of consumable parts and accessories that are not to be installed at the dealership.
Guest Service and Satisfaction:
• Greet Guests immediately, in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Handle telephone transactions quickly and courteously.
• Support the Sales Department as needed to ensure the delivery to customer is an “EVENT” which endears the customer to the dealership.
• Contact Guests using mailing lists, ticker files & personal follow-up to encourage additional sales and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Handle customer complaints reasonably, showing empathy and a positive attitude, and demonstrate our commitment to “Make Things Right”.
• Attend training sessions to keep current with parts and accessories features and benefits as well as sales processes and sales department issues.
• Maintain positive relationships with Guests, employees, General Manager and Dealer Principal
Maintain Resources:
• Maintain a paper and electronic portfolio for all machines to include pictures, a retail cost and listing of labor and parts, dyno sheets for any performance upgrade, and a customer testimonial for the work performed.
• Maintain by model a paper and electronic package menu of popular upgrades, work w/ parts manager to create menu pricing of similar components.
• Maintain a paper and electronic log of all contacts.
• Maintain a paper and electronic appointment log for prospects.
• Maintain Follow up.
• Maintain an electronic log of all work in process with promise times, price quotes, RO, Invoice, and PQ #’s as required.
Commitment, Qualifications and Requirements: Service Advisor
• Treat all employees and Guests fairly, courteously, dignity and Respect.
• Remain current with all Sales department training available by reviewing appropriate online PHD’s & P.A.C.E. and attending seminars, workshops, and other related training programs assigned by the Service Manager.
• Training achievement of Staff, Professional and Master Level Recognition Professional Status through HDU.
• Be prompt and available for flexible scheduling.
• Be honest and fair in all business dealings.
• Meet or exceed sales targets on a regular basis.
• Continually learn more about the products that are available. Stay current on motorcycle trends and selling features.
• Must have an approachable, likable personality.
• Excellent communication skills and demonstrated “closing skills”.
• Knowledge of Harley-Davidson Motorcycle parts and accessories and experience with fitment and style issues.
• Knowledge and experience with Sales of Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and other products sold by the dealership, or the demonstrated ability to quickly learn them.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and outstanding follow-though skills.
• Ability to efficiently use the Dealer Track System, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Must be able to balance and move a 600+ lb. Motorcycle
• Adhere to the hours as per schedule
• Resume must be uploaded, and online assessment completed for immediate consideration.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident.
• Must pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, and drug screen.
