Full Job Description The Marketing & Community Engagement Professional 2 is a boots-on-the-ground collaborator that builds visibility and credibility of the Humana Healthy Horizons in Florida Plan to promote enrollment in the community setting. Operates with a keen knowledge of and how to access both Plan and community-based benefits, products and services in their assigned territory while working with teammates to strategize methods to scale communities and drive greater connections among community members. This position is responsible for establishing and cultivating relationships with community stakeholders and providers, connecting members with critical community support programs, and facilitating community events, marketing and education programs.
Responsibilities
• The Marketing & Community Engagement Professional 2 is a boots-on-the-ground collaborator that builds visibility and credibility of the Humana Healthy Horizons in Florida Plan to promote enrollment in the community setting. Operates with a keen knowledge of and how to access both Plan and community-based benefits, products and services in their assigned territory while working with teammates to strategize methods to scale communities and drive greater connections among community members. This position is responsible for establishing and cultivating relationships with community stakeholders and providers, connecting members with critical community support programs, and facilitating community events, marketing and education programs.
• Engages new community members. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
• Travel throughout territory to provide education about the organization to promote enrollment
• Develop new forums to market and educate potential enrollees about the benefit of enrolling with Humana
• Work with Provider Relations and quality teams to develop marketing opportunities and HEDIS/quality improvement for our members within health centers and physician offices
• Maintain working knowledge of plan benefit and program changes
• Coordinate community health fairs and other informational events
• Conduct presentations to community groups in accordance with current approved communications and marketing plans and state regulations
• Organize site developments for marketing displays and opportunities to orientate staff and clients/adult students
• Regional point of contact for assistance with locating members in the community who are unable to be reached through phone calls and connecting them to Care Managers
• Develops and maintains relationships with internal partners including Case Managers, Care Coaches and Provider Relations & Contracting Representatives and Clinical & Quality Provider Engagement Professionals
• Identifies when services are needed but not available and seeks new community partners and/or creative gap-fill strategies
• Perform any other job related instructions, as requested
• Reside in the same territory they are assigned to work in (Pensacola, Tampa/St. Petersburg, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale/Miami)
Required Qualifications
• High School Diploma
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in community outreach and/or marketing and sales
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Customer service experience
Current, unrestricted State Insurance License in Accident and Health within state(s) of assigned territory is/are required or ability to achieve license(s) within 30 days of hire (FL Health 5-20 License)
This role is part of Humana’s Driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver’s license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100,000/300,000/100,000 limits.
Must have a separate room with a locked door that can be used as a home office, to ensure you and your patients have absolute and continuous privacy while you work.
Must have accessibility to high speed DSL or Cable modem for a home office (No Satellite).
Intermediate to advanced computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
This role is considered patient facing and is a part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Managed Care or Health Insurance
Prior experience with Medicare & Medicaid recipients
Road Warrior who enjoys traveling long distances
Experience with Marketing research skills
Engagement with Medicaid enrollees, including those with behavioral health needs and varied health literacy
Proven knowledge and understanding of how to remove barriers to care in the Medicaid population
Knowledge of community health and social service agencies and additional community resources.
Additional Information
In order to support the CDC recommendations on social distancing and reduce health risks for associates, members and public health, Humana is deploying virtual and video technologies for all hiring activities. This position may be subject to temporary work at home requirements for an indefinite period of time. These requirements include access to a personal computing device with a camera, a minimum internet connection speed of 10m x 1m, and a dedicated secure home workspace for interview or work purposes.
