Full Job Description Position Summary:
Mixes and serves alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to patrons of bar and all dining areas, following standard recipes: Mixes ingredients, such a liquor soda, water, sugar, and bitters, to prepare cocktails and other drinks. Serves wine and draft or bottled beer. Collects money for drinks served. Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display. May slice fruit for garnishing drinks and tend to the service well.
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
1. Responsible for routine cleaning, set up and breakdown of bar. This includes all preparation required to run bar efficiently and smoothly
2. Accepts drink and/or food orders from patrons and servers
3. Checks IDs of all patrons who look under the age of 30. Notifies management of underage drinking
4. Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for patrons of bar and all dining areas following standard recipes. Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and juices to prepare cocktails and other drinks
5. Serves wine, sake and bottled/draught beer. Serves food products as ordered by the guests
6. Rings all drinks and food orders into the POS, collects money from patrons for drinks and food served and makes proper change for patrons and employees
7. Keeps Management informed of bar supply inventories and reports and defective product or equipment immediately
8. Washes and sterilizes glassware and keeps bottles, glassware and beverage products arranged to make attractive display
9. Completes daily/weekly cleaning and side work requirements prior, during and after shift
10. Follows all federal, state and local laws, codes and regulations outlined by the Kobe Employee Handbook
Skills and Abilities
Outgoing person acting as an ambassador of company values, mission, image to the public at all times
Ability to interact with guest and fellow coworkers
Organized
Excellent communication skills
Ability to multi task and show flexibility during high volume periods
Knowledge of products and ingredients
Ability to lift, push or pull at least 50 pounds.
Education/Qualifications
Approved state alcohol training is required
Two years bartending experience is preferred
Experience in the restaurant industry is preferred
Must be at least 18 years of age
