Full Job Description Role and Responsibilities
• Field Organizers are vital to the success of our voter registration programs. They are responsible for the day-to-day management of voter registration teams. Field Organizers will be responsible for recruiting and training volunteers, organizing voter registration events, and representing the party at community events with a primary focus on voter registration. This is an in-person position that will require travel throughout an assigned turf.
• Voter Registration
• Develop subject matter expertise in the voter registration process and workflows
• Effectively perform all required voter registration techniques
• Demonstrate proficiency in tools provided by the party to execute voter registration program goals
• Paid Canvasser and Volunteer Management
• Recruit and train canvassers to execute voter registration activities
• Provide canvass teams with the positive leadership culture, resources, guidance and technical support required to succeed during each phase of the program while ensuring compliance with all policies and best practices
• Ensure that all canvasses are launched and completed in a timely, orderly fashion
• Accountability
• Communicate all pertinent on-the-ground information to, and provide timely response to requests from, the canvassers under your direction
• Ensure that canvass teams properly perform their roles and maintain accurate and reliable data
• Complete daily and weekly reporting as part of metrics-based performance evaluation
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Regional Field Director
Key Requirements
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to interact with canvassers/petitioners with a wide variety of backgrounds.
• Valid driver license and access to reliable transportation
• Access to a laptop and cell phone
• Previous grassroots organizing experience
• Organizational and time-management skills
• A strong commitment to the values of the Democratic Party
• Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach.
• Willingness to work long hours and weekends
• Ability to relocate as needed
• Full vaccination against COVID-19
Preferred Qualifications
• Management Experience (customer service, sales, service industry, campaigns)
• Minimum one cycle of field experience
• Proficiency in VoteBuilder (VAN) and other direct voter contact tools
• Proficiency in Google Workplace
• Proficiency in Spanish, Haitian Creole or other language

Pay: From $42,000.00 per year
