POSITION SUMMARY
At Revenue Management Solutions (RMS), our Software Development team builds and supports a range of products that enable restaurant and hospitality brands to see and do more with their data. Our team is responsible for internal, external/customer facing and custom software applications, which all have the purpose of allowing RMS to better serve our clients.
The Business Analyst works on analytical, financial and reporting web applications which are leveraged by thousands of users across the globe on a regular basis. Responsibilities include assisting with project management, analyzing and reporting on business requirements, evaluating and troubleshooting processes, and defining areas for improvement.
The Business Analyst has knowledge of project management and the steps in the software development cycle, is able to understand business requirements for financial applications, has knowledge of databases and data management, and has the ability to create presentations and user documentation. The Business Analyst knows how to manage several projects and tasks effectively and collaborate with team members and clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Project management of one or more software applications
• Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of tasks
• Analyze, evaluate and report on business requirements
• Document and communicate results of analysis
• Conduct meetings and presentations as needed
• Conduct QA/UAT testing
• Ensure solution meets business needs and requirements
• Assist in software rollout to clients
• Manage competing priorities
SKILLS
• Project management experience
• Understanding of software development process
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL
• Understanding of database design and structure
• Ability to troubleshoot database errors
• Experience working effectively with both internal and external clients
• Ability to create presentations and user documentation
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor of Science required
• Project management experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL
EVALUATION
• An initial performance evaluation is conducted after 90 days
• Performance is evaluated annually at the end of each calendar year to review the position’s defined responsibilities and specific domains of accountability.
• Salary is reviewed annually in January
