Description
At Peraton, we are participating with our Armed Forces to provide information, mentoring , and employment opportunities for Veterans that are transitioning into the Private Sector after serving our nation. The Department of Defense has implemented the Skillbridge Intern program to provide Veterans with the opportunities to gain civilian experience before they end their military career. Veterans bring a wealth of experience, discipline and energy, which Peraton recognizes as a key to mission success. The Skillbridge Program will develop an understanding of how Peraton operates and supports our Government customer.
The following opportunity requires on-site support at locations in MacDill AFB, Tampa FL. Peraton is looking for a qualified Program Control Analyst from the Military Skill Bridge program to support our Program Management Team.
The Cost Analyst will use the cost and schedule plan to determine if project objectives are achievable, create, maintain, and update monthly forecast budgets, prepare various cost reports and maintain forecast accuracy. In addition, you will prepare project performance analysis, cost, and schedule status reports and, identify cost and schedule variances from objectives and recommend corrective action.
Basic qualifications:
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel (e.g. pivot tables, vlookups, etc)
Familiarity or willingness to research the Joint Travel Regulation
Familiarity or willingness to research Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) topics
Ability to compare report sources and analyze for commonalities and differences
Introductory accounting skill s (debits/credits, revenue/expense)
Working knowledge of other than Excel Microsoft Office products (e.g. PowerPoint, Word)
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work under high-pressure situations
Experience with uploading/downloading documents to/from SharePoint sites and other repositories
