What You Will Be Doing As the Project Engineer you will be providing engineering support for the FORTIFIED Home Program; this support includes developing a set of specifications and standard, technical writing, assisting with our Quality Assurance and Quality Control policies as well as monitoring and ensuring the compliance to set forth FORTIFIED Standards.
You will be working with a team of construction and engineering experts who's focus is on making sure businesses, homes and neighborhoods have access to resilient building materials and working with local, regional and sometimes national stakeholders to achieve this. You will be a technical Expert representative of the FORTIFIED Team, you will write technical support materials, complete accurate engineering assessments/analysis, perform regualr QC audits, assess and provide decision making for creative filed conditions, offer feedback to the Evaluation Software development team, and work in tandem with the research team to make test plans and then assess results for related research projects.
What You Need for this Position - Bachelors Degree in Engineering from ABET accredited university (civil, mechanical or structural disciplines preferred)
- 5 years minimum working in commercial/residential construction industry (10 years preferred)
