The Internal Control Consultant is responsible for external audit coordination and project and process work in the Anthem Federal Government Solutions Compliance & Audit  department. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Coordinates external audits, serving as the primary point of contact for the organization.
• Coordination of all CMS internal control reports, compiling board materials, coordinating all external audits and tracking of all audit issues. Develops and leads project plans and communications.
• Assesses and manages risk as needed and ensures corrective action on deficiencies is taken.
• Provides expertise in the area of audit techniques, procedures, regulations and compliance.
• Ensures that contract documents are executed in a timely manner and keeps management informed of new requirements.
Qualifications
This position supports Anthem’s federal contracting business, which is subject to the Covid-19 vaccination requirements set forth in Executive Order 14042 and its implementing guidance. Minimum Reuirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting or finance or any combination of education and/or experience which would provide an equivalent background required.
• 5-8 years of auditing experience required.
Preferred Reuirements:
• CPA, CIA or CISA preferred.
• Previous Medicare Contract and/or Project Management experience preferred.
• Ability to travel may be required.
