Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Tool Assistant for a company based in Tampa, FL near the airport. In this job, you will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as entering orders into the database, assisting the mechanics with tools, and maintaining inventory levels.
Schedule and Hours:
Weekends and three days throughout the week. We have three shifts available:
7:00 A.M. Until 3:30 P.M.
3:15 P.M. Until 11:45 P.M.
11:30 P.M. Until 7:00 A.M.
Pay Rate:
$13.50 per hour to start.
Tool Assistant Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist mechanics with hand tools
Responsible for the efficient operation of receiving areas, shipping areas, supply storerooms, warehouses, and stock issue stations in accordance with applicable supply procedure and verbal instructions.
Performs duties as assigned incidental to the receipt, storage, issue, transfer, or shipping of stock.
Sets up and maintains efficient storage and supply areas as assigned.
Maintains authorized stock levels and issues materials as required.
Completes, verifies, and maintains records, forms, and reports (by computers or otherwise) necessary to accomplish assigned duties.
Performs research to include use of technical orders, stock lists, and other manuals to affix stock numbers to physical objects for proper identification and nomenclature.
Plans work and instructs associate personnel in shipping, receiving, issuing, and packaging as required.
Tool Assistant Requirements and Qualifications:
A high school education or equivalent.
Requires the ability to perform physical labor and accurately follow verbal or written instructions.
Must be able to read and write legibly.
Knowledge of hand tools
Must be able to operate computer equipment and programs when given proper training.
