We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector for NOVA Engineering’s central Florida operations. Primary duties will include performing residential Quality Assurance inspections on residential homes, as well as managing specific projects related to these types of inspections. Some travel may be required for inspections and/or managing projects in the assigned area (primarily between Orlando and Tampa). The inspector positions are predominately field located but may occasionally include office assignments.
Essential Functions
• Building Code Review and/or Quality Control Inspections
• Inspect housing projects from foundation to finishing phase involving trades/contractors supervision for Quality Assurance and Safety and OSHA compliance.
• Performed water intrusion (Pre-Drywall) inspections, Water erosion control inspections, and Structural inspections.
• Perform home owner/customer walk throughs prior to giving buyers occupancy of their homes.
• Prepare written and electronic reports, and issue notices of correction
• Explain and interpret code and/or quality control regulations or requirements
• Recognize, evaluate and properly resolve unique problems or situations
• Maintain effective customer service relationship with clients and the public
Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Education
• State of Florida commercial building inspection license (FS468) or ICC Building Inspector license
• 3+ years of residential construction experience as an inspector, superintendent, or foreman is preferred
• Valid State Driver’s license with clean driving record
