TGH is the area’s only level I trauma center and one of just two ABA-verified adult & pediatric burn centers in Florida. With five medical helicopters*, we transport critically injured or ill patients from 23 surrounding counties to receive the advanced care they need. Job Summary
In accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Values of Tampa General, provides leadership to managers and professional team members for a facility-level function which may include the strategy and operational performance of multiple sections, modalities, or programs. Through strategic project development, helps lead the development of departmental/function plans, including business, operational, service, and/or organizational priorities. Decisions are guided by resource availability and functional objectives. Assesses current and future markets for growth potential and develops plans to optimize growth potential. Responsible for the planning and operational execution of strategic initiatives to expand the Ambulatory footprint. May also be responsible for functional or operational results through work of others but without formal reporting relationship. (e.g., management of outsourced team members). Participates in the development and implementation of the TGH ambulatory strategic goals, objectives, and long-term plans in collaboration with the key stakeholders.
Responsibilities include:
· Mitigates competitive forces by new program strategic development
· Facilitating the development and operations of a facility level-function.
· Collaborates effectively with senior and executive leadership and physician leadership to identify opportunities, explore options to expand services and to continually improve the business performance of service lines and various entities.
· Conducts network development strategic plans and business development models.
· Directs analytical studies of potential business opportunities and new ventures, assessing their effectiveness and consistency with TGH’s strategic objectives.
· Preparation and submission of operational budget recommendations for facility-level function for approval; revises as appropriate. May review, modify, and approve budget recommendations of assigned modalities, programs or sections as part of operational budget preparation. Monitors assigned budget(s) and adheres to budget and productivity guidelines.
· Selects, orients, and trains new team members. Ensures competence of assigned team members and compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational policy, and performance requirements. May assist in defining position requirements.
· Builds and fosters collaborative relationships with other departments/service-lines within the organization as well as with external partners to stay informed and abreast of new initiatives, products, and services
· Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis; forecast requirements, analyzes variances and initiates corrective actions
· Demonstrated application of management theory and practice including systems analysis, financial and human resource management, organizational development, planning, marketing and governmental regulations

Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field

Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business (MBA) or related field preferred.

Six (6) years progressive experience in healthcare setting with at least three (3) of those years in Lead or Supervisory role.

Minimum 5 years of healthcare leadership experience including but not limited to healthcare operations, healthcare strategy, physician practice management or healthcare business development.

Management experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting preferred.
