Job Description
The position provides assistance and support to assigned program to coordinate program operations and to promote the activities of the assigned program.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required. However, most relevant degree areas include counseling, mental health, health promotion, health policy, or health education.
• Evidence of ability to provide leadership and problem-solving skills in analyzing the wellness needs of emerging adults, especially college students.
• Experience in conducting needs assessments and using results to guide programmatic decisions and budget allocations.
• Skill and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Skill and ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to work as a member of a team.
• Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices.
Supplemental Job Information
• Serve as a campus community expert in wellness, including mental health, substance abuse prevention, and recovery, offering services to students.
• Provide student development workshops on mental wellness, COVID -related stressors, and other topics that support student success
• Coordinates social service agencies representation on campus on a rotational basis.
• Collaborates with students, faculty, and staff to implement and encourage wellness programs located in WellNest Center.
• Serves as liaison among all Student Services departments to ensure the needs of new students are met as quickly and smoothly as possible.
• Connect students to the Student Assistance Program and Food2Finish Food Pantry.
• Coordinates retention initiative programs for all incoming students.
• Represents Wellness Center with a professional demeanor and composure at outreach events and other meetings occurring both on and off-campus.
• Assists with other duties as assigned.
• Flexibility in their work schedule (Evenings required and may require some weekend hours).
