Why You’ll Love This Job:
Being a member of the risk group, this is a new role to own the design and implementation of DTCC's emerging risk framework. The emerging risk framework is intended to build upon existing standard methodologies and strengthen capabilities to navigate uncertainty, anticipate and prepare for possible adverse scenarios. This role will collaborate with SMEs across the organization to compile and analyze data in support of the program's deliverables and executive / Board reporting. The role will also supervise, train, and develop supporting staff and lead cross functional collaboration, where vital, on matters of emerging risk. This role will be a member of an Emerging Risk Working Group, which provides Executive Management oversight of the framework.
Your Primary Responsibilities :
• Refine and complete the implementation plan for the Emerging Risk Framework
• Coordinate the sourcing, definition, evaluation, and recommendations for emerging risks
• Identify, support, and coordinate actions associated with emerging risks (e.g., scenario analysis, data collection, ongoing monitoring, etc.)
• Work with GCRO staff and the business to resolve concerns related to the content and accuracy of information. Develop and manage relationships with internal customers and partners
• Prepare information and reports for senior management and the Board
• Participate in meetings with Regulatory agencies, internal/external auditors and industry groups
• Draft policies, procedures, and other communications that support or advocate for the emerging risk framework. Maintain process documentation and adherence to internal procedures and protocols.
• Stay current in evolving emerging risk trends, industry standard methodologies, and regulatory expectations/requirements. Network with industry peers and attend industry conferences or events.
• Participate in departmental initiatives that support mitigation of risk (e.g., use of emerging risk data to advise risk assessments, linking incidents and loss experience to emerging risks, etc.)
• Provide oversight, direction, and develop supporting staff
• Mitigates risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.

Talents Needed For Success:
• Minimum of 10 years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred with master’s or equivalent experience
Additional Qualifications
• Knowledge of financial services, clearing corporations/depository function, brokerage operations, and associated regulatory requirements a plus
• Familiarity with risk management, strategic planning, or scenario planning concepts
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, executive presentation skills
• Tight-knit collaboration and consensus building skills; ability reach across silos, adapt to various working styles, and identify and address divergent viewpoints
• Familiarity and comfort with navigating ambiguity. Translating directional feedback in tactical actions that drive desired outcomes for the program. Ability to connect and relate topics across the enterprise to drive substantial analysis of risk and development of recommendations.
