A full time Flow Cytometry Research Specialist III position is available in the Moffitt Flow Cytometry Core Facility.# The FCCF is an institutionally supported shared resource equipped with three cell sorters (2-Aria SORP and 1 SH800) and eight flow cytometry analyzers (Aurora, , 2-LSRII, FACSymphony, FACSCanto, MACQuant VYB, ImageStreamX MarkII, and Luminex.)# The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, dependable, and able to fulfill a service role in this busy and expanding core facility.# Position Highlights: The operator will be responsible for day-to-day instrument calibration, sample acquisition, cell sorting, data analysis, data management and backup, basic laboratory duties, routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and accurate record-keeping. The candidate will be involved in assisting researchers with the design, execution, and interpretation of cytometry results.## This candidate will also be involved in training of new investigators on basic flow cytometry theory, operation of the analytical instrumentation, and utilization of various flow cytometry software programs (Diva and other instrument software, Flowjo, FCSexpress and Modfit).## A flexible schedule is required to meet the needs of the facility. Credentials and Education: The successful candidate will have a minimum of a BA/BS with some post-graduate level course work in a related field.# Must have a minimum of 5-8 years of laboratory research experience and 3-5 years in specific flow cytometry application. Specific work experience and proficiency in a similar Flow Cytometry Core is preferred. #
