Work you'll do
• Electronic File Technician will work under the direction of the Electronic Files Processing Manager
• Responsible for supporting the eDiscovery needs of attorneys and support staff and implementing the Department's best practices related to eDiscovery and data workflow
• Provides hands-on file manipulation, loading, and conversion services. Creates and modifies files for upload, typically into COTS products, and performs individual file conversion in support of electronic file processing
• Develops, evaluates, and modifies methodologies and procedures for manipulating files for use with COTS products and litigation support applications
• Responsible for ensuring that incoming productions are made pursuant to the applicable ESI specifications and when deficiencies are found, provides EFP Manager with detailed notice of deficiencies
• Recommends process improvement to ensure high quality, timely, and cost-effective methods are utilized

Discovery is constantly evolving and changing as data volumes and sources continue to grow exponentially. Our practice has established itself as a leader in delivering the full spectrum of Discovery services to government agencies. Our teams apply eDiscovery leading practices and leverage analytics technology, as well as traditional legal research and writing, to assist government attorneys and agency staff through the litigation or information request process.
Our teams work with government attorneys on litigation readiness; to collect, process, analyze, review, and produce data; and to support discovery requests, depositions, hearings, and trials. Our team applies decades of experience and knowledge gleaned from thousands of cases to each stage of a litigation or dispute engagement, from case theory development and discovery to witness testimony. We use proprietary tools, methodologies, and technology-including data mining and mapping, electronic discovery, and computer forensic capabilities-to address our clients' needs.
Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor's degree required
• 2+ years' experience performing eDiscovery roles including, but not limited to, electronic files processing (EFP), image and data file conversion, data culling using review tools, quality assurance, and database loads and retrieval
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
• Active Secret security clearance required
• Required to work East Coast Time (EST)
• While 5% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice
Preferred:
• Experience with Relativity (RelProcessing), IPRO, Nuix, Concordance, MS Office Suite, and SQL Scripting is desired
• Knowledge and experience of Eclipse, Summation, and EnCase is valued
