Full Job Description OB TITLE: Level 3 Maintenance and Facility Service Technician
GENERAL SUMMARY: The Level 3 Maintenance & Facility Service Technician is responsible for equipment installation, repair, and scheduled and emergency service. The Maintenance & Facility Service Technician partners with the management team to address maintenance priorities while minimizing impact to production. This position trains site leadership on the best practices.
REPORTS TO : Director of Maintenance and Services
SUPERVISES: N/A
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to lift 75 lbs., stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, twist, perform repetitive motions, see variations in color, and climb and work from ladders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
• Reviews work orders submitted by stores
• Prioritizes repairs to buildings, equipment and grounds that create potential hazards are to be addressed first
• Locates, inspects, troubleshoots, and initiates repairs
• Manages all activities related to the maintenance of the carwashes which include painting, snow removal, grounds work, drywall, roofing, electrical, light plumbing, and other repairs as necessary
• Purchases materials and equipment required for maintenance repairs; ensures products and services are purchased cost effectively
• Utilizes personal vehicle to travel between car wash locations
• Ensures monthly equipment checklists are completed; follows up to ensure that issues identified during safety checks are required
• Receives all new equipment; ensures all equipment is inspected and ensures pertinent information is recorded and put into service
• Maintains library of manuals for all equipment; consults manuals and confers with VP of Facilities on all new installations with the present electrical, mechanical, or logistical problems
• Read and interpret manuals, work orders, schematics, and other equipment documentation
• Comply with all safety guidelines, procedures, and PPE requirements at all times
• Conduct audits at locations for OSHA compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Job holder must demonstrate current competencies applicable to the job position. Every employee is required to remain updated on company policies and affairs through appropriate sources, such as the internal employee website.
EDUCATION : High School Diploma or equivalent required. Degree in related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE : One (1) to two (2) years of electrical and mechanical experience
REQUIREMENTS :
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Basic knowledge in at least one of the following- Electrical, Mechanical aptitude, Hydraulics, Pneumatics
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Positive attitude; ability to be flexible when adopting new processes
• Comfortable working with minimum supervision
• Ability to work indoors/outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
