Full-Time Job Details Description The Restaurant Accounting Senior is responsible for oversight of the audit and analysis of restaurant level financial statements, ensuring that all transactions have been recorded in accordance with GAAP guidelines, as well as working closely with various internal teams.  This position is responsible for ensuring that the team is providing exceptional customer service support to field operations management (Restaurant Partners, Joint Venture Partners & Regional VPs) and inquiries are handled in an accurate & timely manner.    DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The following duties are typical for this position, but are not limited to: Responsible for ensuring accuracy of restaurant level P&L’s, ensuring that adjustments/corrections for expenses, accruals, re-classes, and pre-paid charges are accurate Effectively answers communications with Operations & Field leadership providing guidance & support pertaining to the periodic financial results Responsible for preparation of accurate, timely & substantive balance sheet reconciliations which include but are not limited to the following accounts: Inventory, Vendor Accruals, Etc. Partner with department leadership to analyze, develop and recommend changes & enhancements that will improve department processes Assists management with oversight, providing direction, and development of team members Coordinate the completion of multiple tasks to ensure all deadlines are met Work closely with Internal and External Auditors, Accounting Teams, IT, Operations, and many other RSC teams Represent department as subject matter expert on cross functional business projects Perform various additional multi-unit tasks that support the entire department Ad Hoc requests as needed QUALIFICATIONS: 3-5 years of related accounting experience Solid understanding of GAAP accounting and internal controls Proficient in MS Office Programs including Excel SAP experience preferred Possesses strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; results oriented with sense of urgency Excellent time management, problem solving, and decision-making skills Strong understanding of financial reporting with the ability to rectify potential issues Excellent customer service skills with a team player approach working across multiple functions Excellent verbal and written communication skills EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in business required; Accounting or Finance preferred Qualifications
