Full Job Description ***3 MONTH contract position***
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assume primary responsibility and acts as subject matter expert in accounting for cash transactions and the reconciliation/clearing process within SAP. This includes the timely posting and clearing of cash transactions, ensuring accurate GL reporting and resolving problems as they occur. (50%)
2. Create and maintain certain master data elements (i.e. customers, internal orders, etc.). (15%)
3. Analyze, review, and prepare adjustments as needed to accurately record information to the general ledger. (15%)
4. Review transactions for compliance to corporate policies and procedures, as well as, to identify and minimize exposure. (10%)
5. Support Corporate Accounting through timely and accurate completion of account validations, intercompany bills, and other critical closeout and analysis activities, including ad hoc requests from upper management. (10%)
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
• Required: High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred: Some college-level classes completed or in progress, specifically in Accounting or Finance.
Experience
• Required: Minimum of 4 years of office work experience. Associate Degree or equivalent in Business, Accounting or Finance may be considered in lieu of related experience.
• Preferred: Minimum of one year of Accounting / Finance work experience.
