Summary/Objective:
The Information Technology (IT) Support Specialist will support Wakely users and help maintain the information technology infrastructure for Wakely's local data centers and associated remote offices.
What you will be doing:
• Assist users with logon issues, computer configuration, and other support situations
• Provide help in use of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and mobile operating systems
• Configure and deploy new technology equipment as directed
• Maintenance of servers, including Microsoft Windows Server OS and VMware vSphere hypervisor; includes installation, basic configuration, and maintenance
• Basic maintenance of online systems including Microsoft Office 365 email and SharePoint Online
• Maintenance of network infrastructure, including switches, wireless, and related devices
• Assist other system administrators and managers in designing, implementing, and updating server/storage architecture, Disaster Recovery/Business continuity plans, and security measures
• Assist with internal security compliance processes
• Assist in facilities management as it pertains to IT infrastructure, new builds, relocations, and shared office space
• Assist with the training of employees in technology and security related topics
• Other duties as requested or assigned
Position Requirements
What you’ll need:
At least one year of experience installing and maintaining Microsoft Windows based computer hardware and software.
Understanding of computer networks, cabling, and network file and print services.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills.
Preferred:
CompTIA A+ or other industry recognized computer certification(s) highly desired.
Experience with Microsoft Windows Server including Active Directory.
