Description: Leader, Renewables and Alternative Fuels Job Locations US-All Locations | US-KY-Owensboro ID 2021-1716 Category Land/Environmental Type Full-TimeOverview This position reports to the Manager, Land and Environmental and is responsible for our path to Net Zero. This position would support and lead all necessary tasks to ensure the strategic development and deployment of renewable energy and alternative fuel projects. The leader would propose and implement the necessary actions needed to promote the future renewable energy and alternative fuels (ie. Hydrogen, CO2, ect.) projects. Specifically, but not limited to, researching evolving low carbon energy technologies, conducting project development efforts such as pre-feasibility studies, project design, technoeconomic analysis, etc, and the deployment of said projects. Responsibilities Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to): Position Specific:Aid in the further development renewable energy and hydrogen strategy Support in the definition of the project concepts, design, and pre-feasibility studiesReview and develop project requirements and technological optionsDevelop modelling and simulation tools to perform technoeconomic evaluation of projects and support the business case definitionAssist in the processes of obtaining all permits, licenses, and authorizations required to develop renewable and hydrogen/alternative fuel projects Prepare models and communication materials to be presented both internally and externally Assess new renewable energy development opportunitiesPropose the prioritization of markets and use casesCoordinate internal and external party taskEnsure alignment and full coordination with local teams (commercial, permitting, business development, and regulation, etc.)Define preliminary technical concept and preliminary economic evaluationOther requirements: Travel 25 - 30% average, automobile and planeValid driver's license and insurabilityReliable attendance, scheduling flexibility when job demands requireAbility to work positively and effectively prioritize in a high-stress, demanding environment Qualifications Minimum Bachelor's degreeAt least 5 years of experience in the energy sector, preferably in a similar roleKnowledge of the energy markets, business models of different renewable technologies (wind, solar, storage, hydrogen, electrolyzers, etc) being a plus.Knowledge of energy market regulations with a strong focus on the decarbonization strategiesStrong Analytical skillsDemonstration of teamwork skillsStrong ability to communicate at all levels of the organization Preferred Degree in Engineering and/or EconomicsKnowledge base of gas blending processes#usatoday Employment Type: Full-time
