VP Revenue Cycle Operations West Florida Division
We are currently seeking qualified candidates for Vice President of Revenue Cycle Operations based at the West Florida Division headquarters in Tampa, Florida. Reporting to the SVP Revenue Cycle, this role is a key member of the senior leadership team and provides operational oversight, leadership and subject matter expertise in the delivery of all revenue cycle services.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Vice President of Revenue Cycle Operations (VP RCO) is responsible for providing executive leadership, oversight and strategic direction within West Florida Region for the following departments: Revenue Integrity (Charge Master Maintenance and Nurse Auditing), Patient Access (Pre-Registration, Registration, Centralized Scheduling and Insurance Verification), Utilization Review Management and Patient Financial Services (billing and collections) to obtain timely and accurate reimbursement for services rendered.
The VP RCO supports the achievement of targeted financial and growth objectives of the West Florida Region within the designated market and business/service lines by providing quality services that exceed expectations. This position maintains overall responsibility for strategic and operational issues that supports the organized plan for the Region.
The West Florida Division is comprised of 12 hospitals totaling over $2.0 billion in revenue and a total of 12,000 team members.
Job Duties:

Provides executive leadership oversight within the revenue cycle operations by establishing goals and objectives as well as consistent reporting tools to track performance.

Disseminates and analyzes information to educate, monitor, and provide feedback to West Florida Region leadership and department counterparts regarding their involvement and impact on revenue cycle, including any impact on reimbursement for services rendered.

Monitors HMO/PPO contract implementation and payer performance related to accurate and timely payment, utilization management, unreasonable record requests and denial tracking and provides feedback to AdventHealth Managed Care Contract Management team.

Evaluates utilization of systems and whenever possible and reasonable maintains standardization for systems related to revenue cycle.

Facilitates standardization of CDM, including utilization of systems, pricing and mark up policies and charge processing policies and procedures.

Plans, develops, organizes, and provides oversight of operational functions for underpayments, denials, correspondence and credit balances as appropriate. Responsible for all Insurance Reimbursement outcomes in assigned areas

Focuses on process improvement strategies with special focus on insurance reimbursement outcomes to protect financial standing of West Florida Region.

Monitors department level compliance with HIPAA and all other Federal Regulations are apriority followed.
Knowledge and Skills Required:

Ability to ensure the maximization of revenue and cash flow while maintaining the highest levels of patients, physicians, employees and other customer relations.

Experience working with senior level management to establish a vision, optimize processes, deliver quality billing and collection services, manage cash collections, deploy technology that enhances outcomes, and ensure support for revenue cycle management.

Experience coordinating and collaborating with Finance, Managed Care Contracting, and others to ensure accurate accounts receivable reporting and that accounts receivable and general ledger system mapping are provided in an accurate and consistent manner.

Demonstrated ability to provide proactive analysis of and resolution to potential challenges that may affect the organizations reimbursement and accounts receivable.

Proactive strategic planner with highly focused project management skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus. Must be a well-organized and self-directed individual.

Demonstrated ability to relate to people at all organizational levels

Excellent communication skills.

Mentorship; excellent facilitator and adequate conflict resolution skills. Experience in leadership of teams or projects beyond multiple departmental level required.

Proficient computer, oral and written skills required.
Education, Experience and Certification Required:

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or health services administration

Minimum of 10 years’ management/leadership-level experience

Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership with Patient Access, Patient Financial Services Department or other Revenue Cycle related area
Education, Experience and Certification Preferred:
• Master’s in Business Administration, Public Health Administration or Health Services Administration
