This job posting is for a Full Time, Day shift Patient Support Technician position St. Joseph’s South Hospital in Riverview, FL.
This position is responsible for balancing transactions between two computer systems, running daily revenue reports and auditing charges for each surgery performed. It is a multitasking environment that requires interaction between anesthesia, finance, OR Clinical III Nurses, Materials Management, OR management and scheduling. This position is responsible for the auditing and accurate processing of charges for all departments within surgical services and possibly interventional services including the auditing of manual charges. Requires the knowledge of multiple computer software programs to dissect all data and integrate the information into reports. Thorough knowledge of the Cerner Charge Services and working knowledge of Invision, Patient Surginet Scheduling and documentation and Lawson inventory system. This position also includes patient scheduling, procedure coding in Invision, price quotes, insurance verification and authorization, journaling, physician and patient liaison. Performs other duties as assigned.
