Full Job Description The Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph are a vibrant group of women who minister to the needs of the communities in which they serve, in areas such as education, pastoral ministry, nursing, social justice and a variety of other arenas where they have been called by God. The Ursuline Sisters currently serve in eight states, Washington, D.C. and in Chile, South America.

We currently have one full time day shift Health Care Driver position open. 40hrs/wk. Monday-Friday.
Pay: $10.85-$11.62 based on experience
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Drives sisters for off campus needs, doctor appointments, scheduled studies, labs, etc….
• Accompanies sisters to the hospital when directly admitted from the physician’s office and stays with them until relieved by the surrogate, Pastoral Care, or other community member.
• Maintains the sisters’ rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Delivers laboratory specimens as needed.
• Picks up prescriptions from pharmacies when necessary.
• Purchases supplies and over-the-counter medications as needed.
• Documents repair requests for the vehicles used in the performance of duties.
• Updates sisters’ transfer packets as needed.
• Schedules Maintenance needs of Health Care Vehicles.
• Assists in carrying out the philosophy and policies of the Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph regarding the health care for the sisters.
• Assists in assuring care and safety for the sisters when necessary.
• Assists with the scheduling and rescheduling of physician appointments under the supervision of the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing.
• Assists in the shredding and disposing of confidential papers as directed by the Assistant Director of Nursing or Director of Nursing.
• Updates medical record fact sheets as necessary.
• Updates physician letters and prints as necessary under supervision of Charge Nurse.
• Assists with coverage of the floor as a nurse aide when assigned.
• Scans documents and old medical records as directed by Assistant Director of Nursing or Director of Nursing.
Skills and Abilities Required
• High School Diploma or equivalent .
• Must possess a current and valid Kentucky driver’s license, be insurable on company automobile insurance policy, and have a clean driving record. Must meet all local health regulations.
• This job requires normal physical mobility, including the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. Also, normal hand-eye coordination; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp and lift up to 40 pounds.
• This job requires the ability to read, recall, write, and understand information. This job also requires the ability to work under moderate pressure and to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
