SOCOM J2X CI Course Planner

Responsibilities
• Designs, develops, delivers, schedules, administers, and evaluates a Counter-Intelligence Course for U.S. Special Operations Command, J2.
• Develops, reviews, and updates the J2X course plan, syllabus, lessons and teaching and assessment plans to deliver a well-rounded graduate prepared to assume duties as a member of the SOCOM Staff.
• Supports all phases of course development including, final edit and validation of all course material and production of online or blended learning products. The J2X will have final approval for all course material.
• Conducts periodic curriculum reviews ensuring lesson plans meet instructional design standards and content requirements.
• Facilitates student preparation for the course, accomplishment of the course prerequisites and accomplishment of all course execution and graduation requirements.
• Maintains, stores, distributes, and provides precise quality assurance of every educational product required for the course.
• Distributes, collects, and analyzes Course Critiques for each class and makes recommendations for improvements to the J2X Education Lead.
• Be proficient as a Course Director/Instructor in presenting course material to students in both residence and virtual environments.
• A minimum of two residence CI courses will be conducted per year. The first CI course should be complete NLT 31 March 2022.
• Provides periodic briefings to the J2 Division Chief of the goals, objectives, and requirements of the course.
• Provides support to the USSOCOM Counterintelligence integration course and Counterintelligence Awareness and Reporting program and potentially supports course delivery at the Theater Special Operations Commands
Requirements
• SECRET clearance required: TOP SECRET/SCI clearance eligible.
• MA/ MS required in any field.
• 3 years’ experience in theater/operational level experience in joint special operations.
• Primary planner course developer should have two-years of SOF J-2/CI experience at the operational level.
• A minimum of one-year of instructor experience.
