As our Lab Technician in McKinney, TX, you will perform test work on pneumatic/mechanical products and provide the resulting information to Engineers, Manufacturing personnel, representatives and customers.
As a Lab Technician, you will
• Assemble test setups as directed by project leader.
• Independently perform laboratory testing of regulators for new product development, resolution of customer issues and customer-requested testing as assigned by project leader
• Utilize monitoring and measuring equipment to perform inspections and test functions
• Collect, organize and conduct preliminary evaluations of test data for the Test and Evaluation Engineers
• Assist in troubleshooting issues with products and equipment as needed
• Provide basic write-up of test results as needed
• Maintain an orderly work area and participate in regular housekeeping activities in the lab areas
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures in the laboratories
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
High degree of mechanical aptitude as well as math skills, problem solving capability and ability to manage time effectively
Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in written form with Engineers, assembly personnel, distributors, suppliers and external customers
Proficiency using Microsoft Office (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to lift 40 pounds unassisted
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Associates Degree in Engineering (or comparable)
Ability to operate a forklift
Prior Emerson experience.
