Kforce has a client that is seeking a Java/Microservices/API/Cloud Developer in Westlake, TX. Summary: We operate through multiple channels including internet, voice and trusted partner sites providing both direct and federated authentication services. In addition, Java/Microservices/API/Cloud Developer will support second factor authentication using various out of band, knowledge based, and token verification methods. Responsibilities of the Java/Microservices/API/Cloud Developer:
• Java/Microservices/API/Cloud Developer handles CI/CD practices to rapidly deploy changes to customers while minimizing risk using practices like A/B tests, blue-green deployments, and feature toggles
• Java/J2EE, REST API, Spring MVC and Microservices
• Java/Microservices/API/Cloud Developer will own the outcome by taking personal accountability for delivering strong results
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on development experience with designing and building Java Web Services, APIs and microservice applications
• Experience with native Cloud application implementations and AWS services such as EKS, EC2, ECS and similar effective
• Pipeline automation and orchestration applying GIT, Jenkins, Maven, JUnit, Docker/ Kubernetes, Artifactory, Sonar, Veracode
• Have an approach of test first development and experience in creating mocked unit and environment-agnostic integration tests, as well as expert in modern test and mock frameworks and service virtualization tools; We believe in testing and that quality is everyone's job
• Experience building and deploying cloud-enabled (AWS, Azure) applications demonstrating 12 factor design
• Knowledge of API design, including versioning, isolation and micro-services
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery tools like Jenkins, Maven, uDeploy, Stash and Docker/ Kubernetes
• Proven understanding of testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, REST Assured, WireMock, Cucumber
