ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:

The USF Health Libraries (Shimberg Health Sciences Library and Florida Blue Health Knowledge Exchange) provide library and information services to students, faculty, and staff at USF Health. The library also provides these services to affiliated hospitals, area health professionals and providers, and members of the community.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Supports the activities of the Research & Education Unit of the USF Health Libraries by maintaining LibGuides, etc., assisting with classes offered by the libraries, keeping statistical records for the unit, and functioning as first-level responder to USFHL librarian patron contact service. May provide some administrative support for faculty travel. Emergency backup for the Library Services Desk.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Update and maintain LibGuides created for services, tutorials and College-focused programs. Periodically test links within LibGuides and USFHL website.
Assistance with face-to-face or online library classes, including preparing class schedules for email distribution monthly, monitoring chat in online classes, keeping statistics for class attendance, and compile information from class participant surveys.
Provide first-level support and direct requests to next-level support for Ask a Librarian patron/customer contact service. Provide triage and support for questions about EndNote software.
Prepare and collate statistical information for ad hoc reports. Provide administrative support with University systems for faculty travel. Create content regarding faculty activity for submission to professional associations. Other special projects and duties as assigned.
Provide closed captioning, transcription, and editing for online videos created by USFHL librarians.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
• This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with two or more years of experience in an office or administrative support position.
• College or other relevant post-secondary coursework may substitute for the experience requirement on a year for year basis.
• Testing may be required to assess competency on word processing software.
PREFERRED:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and at least three years of experience.
• Experience in an academic library setting and with systems used by the University are preferred.
