Brandon Regional Hospital is currently accepting applications for a registered Ultrasound Technician on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis.  RDMS required/RVT required within 6 months.  Flexible availability is required to cover varied shifts and assigned call.
As an Ultrasound Technician (also known as Sonographer), you will provide ultrasound services to patients as ordered by physicians.  The Ultrasound Tech follows established standards and practices and is a graduate of a School of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound.

• Graduate of a diagnostic medical ultrasound program at an accredited institution
• Valid ultrasound registry required (RDMS or RVT); must attain RVT within 6 months of hire if not currently held
• Minimum of one (1) year experience as an Ultrasound Tech (Sonographer) preferred
• Minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of vocational training required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Computer skills; MEDITECH proficiency a plus
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
