BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SPECIALIST Allied Health Hours: 8am-5pm Days - Full-time Paygrade/Wages/Salary Info: OH 2013-79 - 40441A
Job Summary Provides diagnoses and treats mental health conditions in specific populations. # Job Responsibilities Provides clinical service, creating individualized assessments and treatment plans for patients, oversee patient care and research causes, and theoretical treatments for these disabilities. Practices, treats, teaches, and works with other providers to manage patient care for mental health. Observes and evaluates Family Medicine Residency (FMR) patient encounters, providing meaningful and structured feedback to residents. Evaluates Family Medicine residents using competency based evaluations via direct observation and other relevant methods. Instructs residents on how to diagnose, manage, and coordinate care for common mental illness and behavioral issues in patients of all ages in both clinical and classroom settings. Coordinates and participates in relevant behavioral health curriculum and didactics. Assists and participates with research, publications, posters, and conference presentations. Serves on relevant committees. Qualifications Doctorate degree in Psychology required upon hire OR Doctorate degree in related field required upon hire A minimum of 4 years# relevant experience required Psychologist - Licensed as a Psychologist in the state of Kentucky required upon hire Skills and Attributes Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Works under minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
