The Hunter Douglas Plastics & Die Casting facility has manufactured and assembled plastic injection moldings in Owensboro, KY since 1981. Resin Technician - 3rd Shift
The resin tech is a support department for the Molding floor. Resin is responsible for ensuring each plastic injection molding machine has material to run for each 24 hour period according to the production schedule.
Skill Requirement: Ability to perform in a dynamic work environment with continuous walking, moving or handling of materials. Use computer programs and email. Be organized and work efficiently. Have basic math skills including knowledge of ratio's for color and resin mixing. Must become proficient in the use of powered industrial trucks. Be able to work any shift.
Primary Responsibilities include:

Use hand scanners for inventory control
• Must maintain accurate movement of material in SAP.
• Ensure correct labeling/product ID.
• Setup scales for weighing material accurately and be able to assemble and disassemble large and small mixers.
• Become familiar with all types of resin in inventory, familiar with product, product codes and color numbers.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment
Candidates are responsible for taking an active role in plant-wide safety activities, have a solid work history, strong work ethic, and be accommodating to shift work. A high school diploma or GED is required, and a score of 4, 4, 4 on the WorkKeys is also desired.
