USC is currently in search of a Human Resources Manager for our Corporate Headquarters in Tampa, Florida. The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for partnering with leaders and executives, both internally and externally, as well as department managers to drive solutions that promote organizational expectations and employee performance. Duties will include the following:
• Recruit and interview potential candidates for employment.
• Prepare and maintain company salary structure, job descriptions, and job evaluation systems.
• Recommend, develop and maintain human resource data bases & computer software systems.
• Process bi-weekly payroll.
• Oversee & manage company benefit programs establishing relationships with key vendors.
• Oversee compensation programs to ensure regulatory compliance and competitive salary levels.
• Provide advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries.
• Respond to and mitigate any workplace concerns or disputes.
• Evaluate and recommend human resource staffing and outsourcing opportunities through relationships with employment agencies, universities and other recruitment sources.
• Recommend, develop and schedule training and development courses.
• Design and conduct new employee orientations and exit interviews (on & off boarding).
• Planning and coordination of the Company annual meeting.
• Manage Company logo and promotional items.
• Participates in special projects, as assigned.
Qualified candidates will:
• Have a strong background and understanding of existing and proposed federal, state, and international employment laws and regulations.
• Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate critical thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Have the ability to collaborate and be visibly engaged within a team environment.
• Be organized, detail-oriented, pro-active in solving problems, and display good business judgment.
• Have experience with Visas and other international business travel regulations.
• Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or a related discipline
• Have 5 to 7 years of Human Resources experience, preferably within a professional services organization.
• Have SHRM certification.
• Be NAFTA - eligible to work in Canada and the United States.
• Have experience with Microsoft Office & Paychex (or similar payroll system.)
Although the position is based in Tampa, the role does require a high percentage of time devoted to sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting all levels of job applicants.
