The Clinical Nurse independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. Is responsible for professional accountability and development. The Clinical Nurse performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

This posting is for
St. Joseph's Children's Hospital
• Internship Begins January 24th, 2022 (external applicants will be required to attend a one week orientation prior to starting the program)
• Internship will be 13 weeks in length. During the time of the internship all interns will be assigned to the day shift and will be exempt from any overtime. It is recommended that Interns should not take any other programs or courses during the internship.
• Upon completion of the program you will work on the shift and the unit you were hired for (no exceptions). Available openings and shifts are based on the needs of the unit. You must be flexible and willing to work either day or night shift.
• There is a two year required commitment for the internship specifically to the unit of hire beginning at the end of the program.
Required Experience: 1 year of recent Med/Surg or Telemetry experience in an acute setting.
Required Licensure / Certification: FL RN License & BLS
Required EKG Competency: You will need to take a competency exam before starting the program, you must pass or take an EKG class. If you do not have EKG experience, you will need to attend an EKG class prior to the start of the program. An EKG exam is given in the program.
