What you’ll be doing...
This position will be working in the Network Technology & IT organization and will be working closely and partnering with Network Planning, Engineering and process organizations to drive technology solutions. You are required to lead critical business deliverables in the Fiber Inventory Management System. The system manages the fiber inventory, engineering design, build, consumption and reporting functions and plays a critical role in One Fiber, 5G and Intelligent Edge Network programs in the company.
• Design and Architect Network Technology and Software solutions to support Verizon Network Systems Business functionality.
• Design and Architect Platform Technology based solutions supporting Scalability, Performance, Reliability and High Availability.
• Provide guidance and lead role driving highest standards in the following areas - Coding Standards, Code Quality, CICD, Deployment, Security, Reusability and Automation, Technology Stack Compliance.
• Drive innovative ways of solving business problems engaging technologies like AI/ML and GIS as needed.
• Work with Business, Process and Architecture teams to analyze the requirements, convert the business and technical requirements to Software design.
• Coordinate with stakeholders across Business and IT to implement the solutions end to end and deploy in production.

You have demonstrated leadership skills and exhibit curiosity, fosters collaboration and demonstrates a growth mindset. You have the ability to effectively bridge communication between developers and business stakeholders to correctly set priorities and maintain cohesion between multiple efforts.
You’ll need to have:
• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in design, development, delivery and deployment of Highly Scalable Web Server based applications involving web client, web server and Database technologies.
• Experience in applying AI/ML or GIS technologies in solving real world business problems.
Even better if you have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or in a related area or four or more years of work experience.
• A degree.
• Effective communication, organization, and decision making skills.
• Good analytical, research and presentation skills.
• Ability to interact with executives and senior leaders, to communicate complex concepts in a concise and compelling way.
• Experience in AI/ML
• Ability to manage distributed delivery teams across various stakeholders organizations in Business and IT.
• Project management experience including waterfall and agile and SAFe methodologies.
