ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:
Central Human Resources (CHR) provides university-wide strategic development of policies, procedures, and programs for the core HR functions, which includes the main campus in Tampa, USF Health and the branch campuses in St. Petersburg, and Sarasota-Manatee. CHR supports the goals, vision, and mission of USF, with a focus on delivering valuable, innovative, and compliant services that attract, develop, reward, and retain highly qualified individuals to create a diverse and talented workforce. Services and programs provided by CHR include: Benefits; Classification & Compensation; Total Rewards; Employee Relations; Labor Relations; Talent Acquisition; Strategic Planning; Staff Recognition; Policy/Compliance; HR Data Analytics; and Learning and Talent Development; Talent Management; and Organizational Effectiveness. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Talent Development Facilitator applies adult learning principles to develop, coordinate and present courses, programs, webinars, special events, training materials, job aids, tools and other resources for employees. The Talent Development Facilitator also creates and/or delivers training and education programs in a defined area of expertise to meet the specific needs of the target audience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Apply adult learning principles to develop, coordinate, and present courses, programs, webinars, special events, training materials, job aids, tools, and other resources for employees. Create and/or deliver training and education programs in a defined area of expertise, such as leadership development, to meet the specific needs of the target audience. Design competency-based learning and career paths which align with the overall HR strategy. Collaborate with university-wide subject matter experts to develop new training programs and initiatives.
Conduct training needs assessments, analyses, and research to support instructional designs. Define learning goals and outcomes for each training initiative. Develop assessments and other evaluation tools to measure learning and performance as a result of training initiatives. Regularly evaluate, revise, update, and enhance training content, programs, tools, and resources to reflect participants' needs, stakeholder feedback, changes, and/or updates.
Organize, publicize, and engage employees for participation in talent development programs using modern strategies. Leverage technology tools to facilitate employees' access to and participation in talent development offerings. Coordinate or perform administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training programs.
Maintain and expand knowledge of new developments and best practices in talent development, facilitation, instructional design, technology tools, and employee engagement.
Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Communication, Education, Adult Education or equivalent with one year of experience in a professional training position; or a Master's degree in the same field.
PREFERRED:
Master's Degree in Human Resources Development, Communication, Education, Adult Education or similar with at least 2 years of instructional design and training facilitation experience.
SPECIAL SKILLS/TRAINING:
This position requires the application of adult learning theory and practice, facilitation and training techniques, instructional design methods, and the ability to quickly gain specific knowledge of the program or training subject matter area.
