As of January 1, 2022 Chevron will convert existing Retail sites to the Caltex brand as well as kick off an aggressive growth plan to increase the number of Chevron supplied Caltex branded Retail Fuel sites across Australia.
Chevron Australia Downstream is seeking to appoint a New Business Acquisition Specialist who will be responsible for growing the network of Branded Retail sites via the Retail Owned Retail Operated (RORO) class of trade across designated area. Reporting to the Manager, Fuels Retail, this exciting opportunity is based in Melbourne or Sydney with regular domestic travel. The successful candidate will be working from his/her own home office.
Responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:
+ Develop negotiation strategies, deal parameters and economic models independently.
+ Articulate the total solution package fluently translating our competitive strengths to the value for the customers.
+ Deal with complex negotiations requiring developing options or alternative courses of action to win a bid.
+ Negotiate with multiple contacts.
+ Develop high level contacts within the industry to keep apprised of potential opportunities.
+ Propose pricing strategy for territories or key accounts with a focus on achieving profitable growth and Chevrons strategic network plan.
+ Manage all phases of the sales process.
+ Develop business development plans and updates through Monthly Business Reviews.
+ Effectively manage potential class of trade (Distributor, Retail, COCO) channel conflict to equitable resolution.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
+ Bachelors degree in any field preferably related to Sales and Marketing
+ At least 7 years of working experience with Branded Retailers and strong market knowledge
+ Minimum 3 years experience Business Development
+ Independent, able to build and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities
+ Possess strong communication, interpersonal, customer relationship management and negotiation skills
+ Excellent people skills and able to work with diverse groups
+ Demonstrated good teamwork abilities
+ Strong business and financial analytical skills
+ Performance driven, self-motivated and solution orientated
+ Possess valid driving license
