Full Job Description Description:
DESCRIPTION:
The Collection Specialist is responsible for collecting COVID-19 SARS-CoV-2 Viral specimens in an educational setting, interacting with staff and/or students, completing requisition forms manually or electronically for specimen testing, ensuring integrity of the specimen, obtaining accompanying patient information, shipping specimens to the laboratory, and other general office tasks as necessary.
. Requirements:
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Strong attention to detail, high professional standards, knowledge of laboratory techniques / equipment to perform specimen collections, effective communication skills, ability to interpret written instructions, ability to work as a team member, data entry experience, ability to multi-task with ease, customer service experience, good problem solving skills, and experience with personal protective equipment (PPE).
REQUIRED EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent and one-year phlebotomy/specimen collection experience
