Overview:
Class A Driver to drive locally, tractor-trailer or box truck or roll-off. As the face of US Ecology to our customers, you can expect to document and transport our customers regulated waste streams for recycling or treatment.
Your time will be split between driving and working in our TSDF as a chemical processing operator. Items you may regularly handle include batteries, oils, cleaners, medicine, bleach, paint, aerosols, other chemicals, and soil.
Currently our schedule is a 6-day workweek, Monday-Saturday, day shift.
Day in the Life
After grabbing your favorite morning beverage you can expect to:
• Check-in with the Operations Manager.
• Review your scheduled job and ensure you have the appropriate paperwork.
• Operate equipment such as box trucks, tractor trailers, roll-offs.
• Properly segregate numerous waste streams while guaranteeing compliance for the following tasks: labeling, placarding, loading, unloading, and 10-day compliance with RCRA, DEA, EPA and DOT regulations.
• On occasion, visit base customers.
• Maintain vehicle log and documentation of manifests
As part of your chemical processing operator duties:
• Gear up in your PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Load and unload bulk and containerized materials using forklift and/or light equipment
• Perform daily inspections of facility and storage areas
• Perform sampling per permit requirements
• Inventory and label containers based on manifests
• Process inbound and outbound containers by consolidating like materials
• Empty drums and transfer solids and fluids into larger containers for storage and transport
• Ensure the work area is safe at all times
• Performs general housekeeping
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
• CDL Class A with haz & tanker endorsement (or willing to obtain).
• Good driving record with less than 3 violations in the last 3 years
• Working knowledge of smart phones, computers and DOT regulations
• Ability to pass pre-employment background checks, physical and drug screening
Nice to have:
• OSHA 40 hour HAZWOPER
• Knowledge of TSCA/RCRA regulations
