ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:
WUSF Public Media is a comprehensive public media organization that operates an NPR news and jazz radio station and an all-classical music radio station, and provides digital content online, through newsletters, podcasts and social media and serves a weekly audience of greater than 350,000. It is a department of the University of South Florida, with 70 employees and a budget of $12 million and provides internships to students. WUSF Public Media's main studios are on the USF Tampa campus, with a broadcast and music performance studio on the USFSM campus and an office and news production studio on the USFSP campus.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsibilities include: Reviews, approves, & processes gifts, pledges, & pledge payments for current & future commitments to WUSF Public Media. Autonomously researches & verifies data completeness for all gift, pledge & pledge functions.  Reconciles & balances deposits for completeness & accuracy.  Maintains accurate receipt & batch journals.  Investigates discrepancies & incomplete items. Follows USF Foundation guidelines and IRS tax-deductibility rules. Reviews past due pledges and writes off outstanding pledges, writes off outstanding pledge balances. Must maintain strict confidentiality.  In addition, assists with customer service, and  other duties as assigned
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reviews, approves, & processes gifts, pledges, & pledge payments for current & future commitments to the USF Foundation. Autonomously researches & verifies data completeness for all gift, pledge & pledge functions.  Reconciles & balances deposits for completeness & accuracy . Processes Sustainer Upgrades and Scanline uploads from banking institution. Processes vehicle donations, matching gift donations as well as faculty and staff contributions. Maintains accurate receipt & batch journals.  Investigates discrepancies & incomplete items. Follows Foundation guidelines & IRS tax-deductibility rules. Reviews past due pledges and writes off outstanding pledges writes off outstanding pledge balances. Must maintain strict confidentiality.
Will be cross-trained on running thank you letters, premium reports, monthly renewal process, pledge billing, and various membership reports.
Completes projects and updates related to biographic data maintenance. Creates reference documentation of how to handle tasks in a timely manner (right after each task is learned).
Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of clerical experience, at least one of which must be directly related to development or community relations. College coursework may substitute for the required experience on a year for year basis.
PREFERRED:
Three years in database software and office applications preferred. Knowledge of data segmentation process a plus. Additional experience working with confidential information. Proficient in word processing, Adobe and Allegiance database management (or equivalent software) -- web module, a plus.
