INTRODUCTORY STATEMENT: The Office of the Attorney General, Department of Legal Affairs (OAG) is a pre-eminent, constitutional office, which serves as the chief lawyer to all state agencies and provides legal protections for Floridians against fraud and through the enforcement of the state’s laws. The OAG, is a cabinet agency in the executive branch of Florida state government.

OAG employees are paid biweekly.  All state employees are required to participate in the direct deposit program pursuant to s. 110.113 Florida Statutes.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and four years of experience in computer systems analysis, computer programming or in planning or designing distributed computer systems; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course of study in one of the computer sciences or in management information systems and three years of experience as described above; or a master's degree from an accredited college or university with major course of study in one of the computer sciences or in management information systems and two years experience as described above; or a doctorate from an accredited college or university with major course of study in one of the computer sciences or in management information systems and one year of experience as described above; or five years of experience as described above and either (1) completion of a 1440 classroom hour program of study from a vocational/technical school or accredited community college in an area of data processing (excluding data entry), or (2) 60 semester or 90 quarter hours of college course work from an accredited institution which includes four courses in computer science or management information systems.  Experience as described above can be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.  Completion of a one year program of study from a vocational/technical school in an area of data processing (excluding data entry) can substitute for one year of the required experience.
Preferences: Seeking candidate with a strong background in information technology with a clear understanding of the challenges of information security. Key information security management skills include analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and fix security risks. To build understanding and awareness of security issues throughout the organization.  Must have excellent communication and presentation skills. Collaborate with other IT professionals and develop security solutions.
JOB SUMMARY: This position is in the Information Technology unit.
