QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in heavy manufacturing industry.
• Wastewater Treatment Operator Certification a plus
• 4 Year Degree in Related Field of Study Preferred
• Health, safety and environmentally focused.
• Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Desire to learn and continuously improve.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This individual will be responsible for aiding in the administration of environmental policies, procedures, and programs. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•
Administer the testing programs for environmental and health compliance
• Collection of environmental samples, and calibration of equipment
• Oversee the proper disposal and record keeping of plant wastes
• Coordinate the waste minimization program
• Work with outside vendors on environmental projects and perform plant environmental awareness training
• Conduct environmental audits
• Support the company Quality System and create a work environment that is consistent with Century Health, Safety, and Sustainability Vision and Values.
• Participate in training programs and provide training for team members when appropriate.
• Follow all Company Environmental guidelines and handle materials in a manner designed to minimize environmental impact.
• Performing assigned job tasks could involve the handling of hazardous materials/waste either by transportation of, or the placement into containers
