VMWare Engineer
Apex Systems, the nation's 2nd largest IT staffing firm, has an opportunity for a VMWare Engineer. The VMWare Engineer will be part of the Infrastructure org, working with people from the VMWare team and the UCS team on various projects.

Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like:
75% of this person's time will be focused on the project work. 25% on operational support.
2 projects are:
Cisco M3 Blade replacement project: converting to M4 and M5 Blades. M3 blades have end of life end of this year.
VMWare 7 upgrade project: goal is to complete by end of year, but tht likely will not happen. Will be a lot of "Rinse and Repeat" so need someone with a lot of operation experience and someone who will not mind working on a project that is pretty redundant.
The majority of the people here are on PST, but it's fine to work hours of other time zones and start doing some tasks earlier before the PST folks are online etc. There will be some after hours required at times, and weekend days here and there as needed, best guess once per month.

• 98% Windows
• 85% virtual (about 1100 Virtual servers)
• 6 physical locations
• 15 UCS domains
• Hardware is majority Cisco UCS
• OS: '08-'19
