Full Job Description HBSS/ESS System Administrator – MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL
Job Description:
Government Tactical Solutions (GovTact) is currently seeking a Host Based Security System (HBSS)/Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS) Engineer located at MacDill AFB Tampa, FL. The HBSS/ESS Engineer specializes in the management and operations of a large enterprise environment in support of the USCENTCOM C4ES Program at MacDill HQ in Tampa, FL.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor and troubleshoot system/application activity and performance.
• Perform functionality and integration testing for software updates and new endpoint security software.
• Assist in the implementation of policies and standards related to the use of computing resources, overall strategy, design, implementation, and operational aspects of multiple systems, operating environments, and related software.
• Coordinate all work through the use of the designated ticketing system in use by the command.
• Additional duties as assigned by the Engineering leadership.
Required Qualifications:
• Active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret/SCI required to start .
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree coupled with 5+ years systems administration experience; OR 10+ year's experience in lieu of education.
• A minimum of 5+ years experience using Host Based Security Systems.
• Strong and broad understanding of HBSS/ESS applications to include Endpoint Security, McAfee Application and Change Control, HIPS, and DLP.
• Experience with implementation of polices and standards related to the use of computing resources, overall strategy, design, implementation, and operational aspects of multiple systems, operating environments and related software.
• Troubleshooting skills to be able to identify potentials problems on the domain.
• Security+
• DISA HBSS Administration Course
• Candidates must meet DoD 8570.1M requirements
Desired Qualifications:
• Thorough understanding with core Microsoft Products
• Knowledge of VMware virtual environments
• Basic networking knowledge
