Responsible for advance level support of software packaging and management of the enterprise pc management solution, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or equivalent solutions. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the evaluation of new desktop & peripheral technologies and the maintenance of existing enterprise desktop & peripheral technologies including driver maintenance, imaging design, and operating system and application patching.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently lead all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Install software packaging using scripted templates and industry packaging tools; use customize scripting for complex non-standard applications.
Configure and deploy Enterprise Software.
Conduct Client Technology Evaluations requested by the Business. This includes determining cause of issue, researching, recommending and implementing backend desktop solutions.
Build and customize the configuration of PC image deployment using scripts and automation.
Provide advance level support of End Point Management System Administration (Altiris, SCCM, Lan Desk, JAMF or equivalent).
Monitor and update security management tools through encryption of end points, certificate management, and deployment to include anti-virus, PKI, HDD encryption, and general client based security hardening.
Maintain and configure Active Directory Group Policy and Preference management.
Monitor operating system & apply patching when applicable.
Ensure Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance and Audit Management.
Collaborate with internal and external application support, system infrastructure, security, network, telecom, and service desk departments to deliver the best desktop experience to the enterprise.
Conduct proof of concepts and evaluation of new client computing hardware and software technology.
Subject Matter Expert on highly complex issues for Desktop and Help Desk Support teams.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Windows 7 & 10 experience including 64 bit operating systems.
Scripting language experience - Advanced Power Shell & VB Script preferred
Advanced knowledge of one of the following PC End Point Management Systems: Microsoft System Configuration Center Management (SCCM 2012+), Systematic Management Platform (Altiris 7 .x), VMWare Horizon 6.x +, WSUS or equivalent
Advance knowledge of security technology -encryption, PKI, virus and malware
Experience with Window image deployment and package creation/management using Symantec Management Platform (Altiris) or similar technologies such as Lan Desk, IBM, MDT, UDI, or other deployment tools
General Knowledge of Windows Administration, PC lifecycle and Asset Ms Server Operating systems, Windows SQL Database systems, networking technology, Microsoft Toolsets for PC management, planning, monitoring and controls and PC and Internal Audit process and compliance
Troubleshooting and support for VPN, 2 Factor Authentication, and network printing
Interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple processes, priorities and demands.
Ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence in the team's knowledge of and concern for client needs
Analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required
Ability to absorb and retain information quickly
Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language

Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or MIS. College technical school degree and equivalent work experience is required. Technical certification is a plus.
Related Work Experience
5 years of End user technology support in large enterprise environments
5 years of Software packaging and related tools
5 years of Enterprise Application Support Experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Experience working with Mac OS & Mac hardware.
MCP, A+, or other industry certifications.
MCDST (Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) or equivalent work experience.
