Johnson Service Group is recruiting a SQL DBA/Data Modeler for a great client of ours in Tampa Fl.   3 - 6 month contract to hire.

Technical Skills
• Passionate about modeling, developing, organizing and curating the data.
• Requirements gathering, creating data mapping documents, writing functional specifications, and queries a must.
• Plan, design, administer, monitor, and manage all aspects of the SQL server databases.
• Experience building a data mart / data warehouse.
• Expert knowledge of metadata management and related tools.
• Environment: Microsoft SQL 2008 R2 - 2019 Server, Microsoft SQL Management Studio, Microsoft SQL Integration Services, Microsoft SQL Reporting Services, Microsoft SQL Analysis Services, SQL Server replication.
• SQL clustering experience (building, maintaining, monitoring, troubleshooting, and replication).
• Dashboarding experience using design/presentation tools is a plus.
• MSFT Azure DevOps or equivalent experience.
• Power BI a plus.
Interpersonal Skills
• Someone who is comfortable driving beyond BAU.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to create and articulate executive level presentations, documentation, report outs geared towards different levels of stakeholders.
• Ability to mentor and coach junior team members with basic data modeling concepts.
• Strong desire to work in a family-oriented environment grounded in respect where all IT members can wear multiple hats.
• Experience working and driving outcomes in an agile enterprise environment through sprints, standups, backlog planning/grooming, and an overall agile mindset.
Education / Experience Requirements
• More than 7 years of extensive Information Technology experience in all phases of Software development life cycle including System Analysis, Design, Data Modeling, Implementation and Support of various applications in OLTP, Data Warehousing, and OLAP applications.
• Knowledge of mathematical foundations and statistical analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information science, or applied mathematics or equivalent experience preferred.
Logistics
• 100% Remote / weekend/after hours work as required by technical roadmap/change controls.
• Core business hours are 8am EDT to 8pm EDT.
• Geographic location not considered if core hours can be worked.
