Job Description:
We are looking for a s enior node.js developer to join the team and help with the development of Experience Hub.
DXC Experience Hub is a cloud-native, customizable knowledge platform that helps organizations meet learning, training and performance goals. The platform captures learning content and knowledge wherever it resides and provides that content to employees at anytime and anywhere.
Job Description:
As a senior node.js developer in Tampa, you will:
• Cooperate in the full lifecycle management of large-scale applications.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
• Build products aligned to help our clients succeed in the industry.
• Implement scalable, optimized, re-usable components.
• Integrate best practices in API data management, services, and JSON objects.
• Think creatively to solve the problems with holistic and simple solutions.
• Handle DevOps deployments, Kubernetes containers and deployment configurations.
• Manage JIRA Stories, project estimates, backlog scrubbing.
• Manage multiple projects and libraries.
• Meet daily in standups.
Skills:
• Computer Science or similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years' experience with one or more of these JavaScript libraries: node.js, Vue, Angular, React.
• API integration with JavaScript using promises and asyc/await.
• JavaScript build tools: Babel, Webpack.
• SASS.
• Visual Studio Code or WebStorm.
• GitHub projects, branch management and pull requests.
• Task runners such as Grunt.
• Internationalization: i18n, multi-language support.
• Knowledge of the broad world of NPM packages.
• Experience working on Agile Scrum and DevOps aligned delivery teams.
Education and Experience Required:
• A technical bachelor's degree or a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
• 5 or more years' combined experience writing code and developing web applications.
• Advanced ability to work with Web-development tools for new applications.
• Understanding of RDBMS databases and JSON databases.
• Understanding of modern software design and development methodologies.
• Experience on multiple full release project life cycles.
• Understanding of modern SCM (software configuration management).
• Understanding of testing tools and unit test and integration test scripting, and testing methodologies.
• Strong understanding of Project Management.
• Able to architect tasks and divide them into sub-tasks, estimating hours.
• Good verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
• General project management/team leader skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a globally dispersed team and with clients and vendors.
• Demonstrated technical leadership skills.
