Full Job Description Responsible for completion and results of all daily quality activities and special projects. Assist Quality Manager in establishing/maintaining Quality Systems compliant to MOS Quality objectives/goals.
Essential Functions and Key Accountabilities
· Development of basic inspection procedures for receiving inspection, in-process inspection, and final assembly inspection
· Coordination of quality activities across all areas of the plant
· Directing Quality Technicians in daily quality activities and special projects
· Assisting Quality Manager in maintaining and addressing any quality issues.
· Coordinating continuous improvement activities
· Communication to all areas, plant and one on one
· Regular evaluation of goals and objectives to actual results
· Implement Metalsa’s philosophy, policies, style, and standards of business conduct
· Demonstrate “Continuous Improvement” by visual management and measurement of plans, projects, goals, objectives and results
· Evaluate and monitor progress of QA Technicians
· Additional responsibilities as required – this position is subject to change as the needs of the department change

· Strong focus on internal PPM issues and reducing those issues
· Continuous reduction in PPM at the customer, internally, and at suppliers
· Offer ideas for improvement of all systems and help implement them
· Lead area in achieving plant quality objectives/goals
· 100% on-time delivery to customer
· Target 0 PPM for all customers
· Understand customer needs and work towards meeting and exceeding them
HOUSEKEEPING
· Maintain the appearance of a World Class Facility
· Actively support full implementation of the 5S’s, using it to approach and keep all areas clean, neat and properly maintained.
· Act in an Environmentally Sustainable manner by practicing the principles of the 7R’s (Reduce, Reuse, Recover, Return, Renew, Replace, Recycle). Conserve resources by using only the amount needed and by appropriately managing any generated waste(s).
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT/ TRAINING
· Actively involved with the Metalsa Model practices and MOS Principles
Academic and Experience
EDUCATION
REQUIRED
• Related Field Experience
• Working Knowledge Material flow / Process flow analysis
PREFERRED
• Two-year degree in related field or combination of education and related experience
• Quality assurance experience in manufacturing environment.
• Supervisory and training experience
• Experience and knowledge of TPS
• Customer and supplier contact related to quality and problem resolution
• Knowledge of Tooling Design and Function and fixture design and function
Technical Skills
· Ability to read blueprints, including GD&T
· Development of basic inspection procedures for receiving, process and final assembly
· Understanding of customer related quality procedures and processes
· Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point)
