Position Overview :
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock. Duties and responsibilities:
• Receive shipments
• Tag and label merchandise
• Label and stockpile merchandise according to size, shape, and type
• Box, wrap and pack merchandise in accordance with relevant procedures and standards
• Prepare all orders for shipment
• Record and manage all impaired or damaged merchandise items
• Operate adequate merchandise management tools (for example, forklift)
• Recognize and escalate inventory and storage issues
• Maintain general housekeeping
• Other duties as assigned by Manager
• Continuous improvement
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma required
• 2+ years distribution or manufacturing experience
• 2+ years warehouse experience using warehouse equipment (Hi-Lo, Pallet Jack, Stand Up Reach Truck)
• Food/beverage industry experience a plus
• Must be able to read and write in English
• Excellent time management skills with proven organizational skills
• Must be able to effectively communicate with coworkers and management
• Detail oriented and able to multi-task in a fast paced deadline driven environment
• Ability to problem solve
• Ability to lift 40+ pounds and work in a cold/freezer climate environment
