Summary:
The Electrical Engineer will design and install engineered electrical control systems for capital projects associated with the plant operations. This individual will provide technical assistance to Plant Technicians and Electricians in diagnosis of electrical malfunctions, determination of necessary repairs, and elimination of the cause of the malfunctions.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Maintain electrical system one lines and ascertain power availability for new installations
• Prepare and present engineering project takeoffs
• Responsible for productivity improvements of electrical systems in the plant
• Responsible for design of industrial power, control, and lighting systems
• Responsible for knowing every piece of electrical hardware and software in the plant
• Capable of design of original concepts
• Capable of designing systems within estimated budgets
• Must coordinate with maintenance supervision production schedules and support groups to complete projects on schedule
• Keep abreast of current trends and technology, and utilize this information effectively
Requirements:
• Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
• 5 + years of industrial experience
• Must have extremely strong analytical and management skills
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities along with outstanding interpersonal skills are a must.
• PLC programming experience preferred
• AC/DC drives experience preferred
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E preferred
